Arsenal unconvincingly kick start their season.

Match Report: Arsenal had underwhelming season opener for title challengers with a narrow win of 2- 1 against Nottingham forest. Martinelli's masterclass gifted Nketia a clear opportunity which he converted superbly to give Arsenal the lead before Saka's thunder bolt doubled the gunners lead in the first half.

In the dull second half for the North Londoners, Forest took one back thanks to Taiwo's solo effort in the 82th minute. Arsenal had to nervously hold onto their lead as forest camped in their half for the rest of the match.

Mega-moneysignings Kai Haverzt and Declan Rice had mixed performances on their debuts. Declan Rice showed glimpses of brilliance with a couple of goal efforts. Kai Haverzt onto the other hand may have just have had a debut to forget as he couldn't show any game- changing contribution despite the heavy price tag and wages. Defense recruit, Jurrien Timber  was  a fortress in the defense before walking off injured early in the second half.

The gunners will face crystal palace on the road in their second match as the search for their first title in two decades continue.

KICD makes New Changes to JSS curriculum

Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD)  has made a flurry of changes to the CBC curriculum in  upper primary and Junior school levels. This is according to the newly published curriculum designs on their official website.  Photo:Courtesy: KICD logo The curriculum developers at the start of the  year, made significant changes to the CBC curriculum framework by rationalizing the content from pre-primary to Junior school. This came as a result of the recommendations  of Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms (PWPER). For instance, the learning areas in Junior School were reduced from 15 to only 9 (all of them being compulsory). This was geared towards addressing the overloads, overlaps and repetition in the related learning areas. KICD swiftly released the rationalized curriculum designs for use in the facilitation of learning as the process of publishing of new  learners' textbooks  in line with the rationalizaton and merger kick...
